FINE-GRAIN ZINC

Fine-grain zinc offers moderate bare corrosion protection for steel and other metals prior to painting. This excellent pretreatment conversion coating method works on ferrous metals and zinc/zinc alloy coated metals before paint is applied, meeting U.S. federal specifications and military standards.

Fine-grain zinc involves the use of an electrolyte solution that contains zinc ions. These are deposited onto the metal surface through the application of an electrical current. The deposited zinc forms a thin, continuous layer on the metal surface, providing it with a high level of corrosion protection and improving its overall durability and longevity. In addition, the zinc coating is highly uniform and provides excellent coverage, even in hard-to-reach areas and tight crevices. This provides a smooth and uniform surface finish, which helps to reduce friction and improve the overall performance of the treated metal parts.

Need more robust corrosion protection? Consider heavy-grain zinc.
