Powder coating performance & preparation
Powder coating is applied as a dry powder and cured to form a protective finish. Performance depends on the substrate, surface preparation, coating chemistry, film thickness, cure, and the conditions the part will face.
For outdoor parts, identify UV and weather exposure. For equipment and production components, describe abrasion, chemicals, cleaning, and operating conditions. Select a coating against the actual requirements rather than a universal service-life promise.

Powder coating or liquid paint?
The right finish depends on the part and its application. Review substrate compatibility, geometry, cure-temperature limits, required film thickness, appearance, and performance specifications before choosing a coating system.
Powder coating can offer durable finishes and a range of colors and textures. Liquid coatings may suit different material, process, or specification requirements. Neither process is the best choice for every part.
