Job Title: Quality Manager
Overview:
Sub Source is a one-stop provider for critical metal finishing, coating, and inspection services. The Quality Manager is responsible for owning and driving the systems that ensure our work meets the highest industry and customer standards.
This role leads our ISO 9001:2015 quality program — ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and consistent execution across all processes. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on maintaining certifications, supporting production, and delivering reliable results to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the Quality System
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015 requirements
- Ensure procedures, work instructions, and records are accurate, current, and followed on the floor
- Keep the operation audit-ready at all times
Support Production Quality
- Work directly with operations on metal finishing, coating, and inspection processes
- Ensure jobs meet specifications the first time
- Address issues quickly and implement practical, lasting solutions
Drive Improvement
- Identify gaps, reduce defects, and improve process consistency
- Lead root cause and corrective action efforts that actually solve problems
- Implement improvements that make the operation stronger and more efficient
Audit & Compliance
- Lead internal audits and coordinate customer and third-party audits
- Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain documentation and records that stand up to scrutiny
Supplier & Customer Quality
- Support supplier quality expectations and approvals
- Address customer quality concerns directly and professionally
- Ensure contract requirements are understood and executed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a quality leadership role in manufacturing, metal finishing, or similar environment
- Solid understanding of ISO 9001:2015
- Ability to read and apply technical specifications and customer requirements
- Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a focus on execution
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Quality, or related field)
- 5+ years of relevant experience with leadership responsibility
- ISO 9001:2015 experience required
- NDT certification exposure (Level II or III environment) preferred
Work Environment:
- Combination of office and shop floor
- Regular involvement in production areas including coating, finishing, and inspection

LIQUID PAINT PAINTER (Spray gun painter)
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 2- 4 years industrial experience preferred
- Painting experience with spray guns preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Knowledge of paint mixing.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Spray paint onto parts.
- Checking inventory to ensure all the supplies necessary for the week’s work are available.
- Inspect all finished parts prior to packaging making sure there are no light spots.
- Packing the parts after inspection according to the instructions.
- Mixing paint and primer.
- Cleaning the spray gun.
- Hanging up the parts after each process
- Cleaning up the equipment and paint area.
- Mask parts when necessary.
- Wash parts when necessary.
- Carry out or assist in product or production research and development projects
